Coming to Toulouse

To reduce the environmental impact, opt for a sustainable transport option.

By train

The Matabiau SNCF station is located in the heart of Toulouse, right in the city center, and is widely connected by buses and the subway (Marengo SNCF station).

By plane

Toulouse-Blagnac airport offers many direct flights from France. It is very easy to get to the city center from the airport.

Airport shuttle: The shuttle operates every day except May 1st, with departures every 20 minutes. It takes around 25 minutes to reach Matabiau station from the airport. The ticket fare is €9: it is possible to pay by card directly in the bus and then get a receipt online, or take your ticket from the ticket machine next to the stop.

Taxi: Taxis are located on the ground floor, Arrivals level.

By bus

The long-distance bus stop is located just next to the Matabiau-SNCF railway station. You arrive directly to the center of Toulouse. The next metro station next to the cell is: Marengo-SNCF station.

By car

In the city center, the most polluting vehicles are not allowed to drive or park. This zone covers the entire area inside the ring road. The Crit'Air sticker is compulsory in the ZFE zone.

Getting around Toulouse's hypercentre by car can be difficult. We advise you to book accommodation with private parking and to visit the pink city on foot or by public transport.

Public transportation

Whether by metro, bus, tram or cable car, Toulouse's public transport network makes it easy to get around with the same ticket. The company that manages transport in Toulouse is Tisséo. The Tisséo app allows you to calculate your itinerary and provides an interactive map. These services are also available on the website : www.tisseo.fr.

Tickets can be bought:

  • At counters in certain metro stations: Arènes - Balma-Gramont - Basso Cambo - Borderouge - Jean Jaurès - Marengo-SNCF.
  • At ticket machines in all metro and tramway stations.
  • Directly in the bus: by contactless validation with your bank card (CB-Visa-Mastercard) or with the bus driver (exact change only).
  • On your smartphone with the Tisséo application.

The bus and metro count as a single journey! A single ticket allows you to use 4 different connecting lines over a period of 1 hour (1.5 hours if you use the Airport Shuttle) from the time the ticket is first validated.
